Documentation · Skoolway
This is the map of the product. It is written for a school administrator or someone evaluating Skoolway. It is not an API manual.
One school, one set of records
Each school is separate. An administrator at one school cannot open another school’s learners, fees, or routes. People inside a school see the role they were given: administrator, teacher, department staff, parent, or learner.
Attendance
A mark is present or absent for one learner on one date. Teachers assigned to the stream, and school administrators, can save the register. The learner’s attendance percentage is recalculated from the marks that have been saved. Days with no register are not treated as zero.
Fees and portals
Vote heads are the school’s fee items. A payment stored on a learner is the school’s record that money was received. Automatic recording only happens for a connected account, after the provider calls Skoolway and one learner matches.
The parent and learner portal reads the same school record. It does not let a family edit results, loans, or balances.
